Press release by Tcell

During the Dushanbe International Investment Forum, Tcell, Tajikistan’s leading digital operator, and international technology company Mawj Platforms announced a strategic partnership to establish a unified digital media ecosystem for Central Asia.

Empowering regional content creators

The partnership brings together Tcell’s robust telecommunications infrastructure and Mawj’s streaming platform—often described as the "Spotify of Greater Central Asia." Mawj specializes in content in Persian, Dari, Tajik, Pashto, Urdu, and various Indian languages, connecting audiences across Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, and the Central Asian region.

The joint initiatives will focus on key areas of the digital economy, including music and video streaming, podcasts, virtual concerts, digital ticketing platforms, and next-generation advertising technologies.

“Our goal is to create a modern digital environment that fosters the growth of the region’s creative economy. Through this partnership, we aim to equip local content creators with the tools and platforms they need to reach wider audiences and build sustainable digital businesses,” said Ozodkhon Davlatshoev, CEO of Tcell.

“We are building a digital bridge that links the creative communities of Central Asia to global markets. Mawj will serve as a window through which regional talents can showcase their music and visual content to the world,” added Amo Bag Jan, Founder of Mawj Platforms.

Innovation and technology at the core

The partnership will leverage artificial intelligence-powered analytics and cloud infrastructure to deliver:

  • Advanced insights into audience media preferences
  • Scalable support for content providers
  • Regional digital distribution networks
  • Immersive content consumption technologies
