In a series of recent government decrees, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has announced a series of high-level appointments across various sectors, including the Prosecutor General’s Office, ministries, and several higher education institutions, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

Among the key changes, Rahmon has removed Mashrab Qurbonali Fayzullo from his post as rector of the Russian-Tajik (Slavic) University (RTSU), citing his move to another position. The new rector of RTSU is Ilhomuddin Ibrohimzoda.

Bahroulloh Fayzalizoda has been appointed as the executive director of the Moscow State University branch in Dushanbe, taking over from Rustam Ghanizoda, who also transitioned to a new role.

At the Tajik Islamic Institute named after Imam Azam Abu Hanifa, Abdualim Akhtamzoda has been appointed as the new rector, replacing Nusratullo Zokirzoda.

Additionally, the president has made changes to leadership positions within the Prosecutor General’s Office, appointing new prosecutors for various regions, including the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, and Khatlon and Sughd provinces. New prosecutors were also named for several cities and districts, such as Khorog, Khuroson, Baljuvon, Shahritous, Zafarobod, Spitamen, Devashtich, Rasht, and Fayzobod, along with the military prosecutor for the Rasht garrison.

One significant development involved the dismissal of Avaz Nazarzoda, the prosecutor of Khatlon province, who was removed for "violating industry regulations and committing an act that tarnished the honor and dignity of a law enforcement officer."

In another change, the head of the State Commission for Mineral Reserves, Rahmonbek Bakhtdavalatov, was retired, and Zoirshoh Mirzoalizoda was appointed to replace him.

The leadership of the Communications Service also saw changes, with Ahliddin Murtazozoda and Khol Gulov being removed from their posts. Parviz Noryon, the former director of "Varzish" TV, was appointed as the first deputy head of the communications service agency, while Shohnazar Kholnazarzoda and Tolib Kholzoda were appointed as deputy heads.

Sharif Mahmadzoda has been appointed as the new deputy minister of energy and water resources. Additionally, the director of the "Khutalon Hydroelectric Power Plant Project Implementation Unit" is now Jurabek Muhammadzoda, while the director of the Agency for Labor and Employment under the Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment is Shahboz Saidzoda.

The Tajikistan University of Innovation and Digital Technologies will now be led by Shahriyor Sa'dullozoda.

In the education sector, Khursand Sodiqzoda was relieved of his duties as the first deputy director of the Agency for Supervision in the Field of Education and Science, due to a move to a new position. Meanwhile, Masrur Abdullozoda has been dismissed from his role as an adviser to the assistant to the president on social development and public relations. He has now been appointed as a senior adviser in the same office.
