Three dried fruit processors from the Tajik northern city of Isfara are representing Tajikistan at the prestigious Food Ingredients Europe 2025 exhibition, held in Paris from December 2 to 4. The companies — Barakat Isfara, Fruits Valley, and Ali Apricot — are among over 1,500 exhibitors from around the world showcasing the latest in food and beverage innovation, says press release issued by the International Trade Centre (ITC)’s Office in Tajikistan.
Their participation is supported by the Swiss Government through the ITC under the Trade Promotion East: Balkan States and Central Asia Program (TPE). The event offers a vital platform for the Tajik companies to promote their high-quality products, explore new market trends, and establish global partnerships.
“This participation highlights ITC’s commitment to expanding the reach of Tajik dried fruits internationally,” said Saidmumin Kamolov, ITC National Project Manager. “By showcasing a diverse range of products at this global platform, Tajik businesses aim to attract international distributors, buyers, and partners, building trade connections that benefit the country’s economy.”
Celebrating its 30th edition, Food Ingredients Europe is one of the largest and most influential trade shows in the food and beverage sector. It brings together global industry leaders, innovators, and buyers to network, share insights, and shape the future of food.
The Tajik stand offers visitors an authentic taste of the country's finest dried fruits — from apricots to raisins — highlighting the natural quality and potential of Tajik exports.
“This fair is an ideal venue for Tajik companies to strengthen their brands in foreign markets, meet major food producers, learn about consumer demands, and discover new innovations,” said Lutfullo Ortuqov, Manager of Fruits Valley.
In addition to exhibiting their products, Tajik representatives are actively participating in panel discussions, seminars, and business forums, gaining valuable insights into global consumer preferences and market requirements.
Their presence in Paris marks a significant step toward expanding export potential, diversifying markets, and positioning Tajikistan as a reliable player in the global dried fruit sector.
ITC emphasizes that such international trade missions are crucial for enhancing the competitiveness of Tajik small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), creating new business contacts, and keeping pace with developments in the global food industry.
The Trade Promotion East (TPE) program is funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and implemented by ITC. Tajikistan, along with Uzbekistan, Albania, and Serbia, is part of this initiative, which aims to boost the competitiveness and sustainable export growth of SMEs, especially in the dried fruit sector. The program also supports local business support organizations (BSOs) in delivering quality services to SMEs.
Over the past 30 years, Switzerland has provided around USD 500 million in grants to support Tajikistan’s development. Under its 2022–2025 cooperation program for Central Asia, Switzerland focuses on economic, social, and democratic development, strengthening regional cooperation on water management, and promoting good governance.
