President of France invites Shavkat Mirziyoyev to pay visit to Paris

President of France Emmanuel Macron said he would welcome the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Paris for the first working meeting, according to Nuz.uz.

French President Emmanuel Macron sent a congratulatory message to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of Uzbekistan’s Independence Day.

“I will be happy to host you in Paris for the first working meeting. This meeting will strengthen the political dialogue between our countries, while they face common problems, such as terrorism and global climate change. Also, this meeting will give impetus to the development of our economic ties,” the message reads.

President Macron noted that the upcoming official visit of Mirziyoyev would give an opportunity to discuss way of further expansion and diversification of bilateral relations between France and Uzbekistan.

Uzbek media reports say an official visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to France is scheduled for October this year.
