China and the United States will build juice-producing plant in Uzbekistan’s Samarqand region

Investors from China and the United States will build plant producing packaged water, juices and dairy products in Uzbekistan’s Samarqand region, according to Podrobno.uz.  All the products will be fully exported.

A tripartite agreement was signed between the Samarqand regional administration, the American GMFR Global Group Co. LTD and China’s Beijing Huiyuan Holding Co. LTD was signed in September last year as part of a strategic investment partnership project for the development of agriculture in Uzbekistan.

The new plant will annually produce 20 million tons of packaged water, juices and dairy products, which will be fully exported.

UzDaily says a meeting with representatives of GMFR Global Group Co. LTD was organized at the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) in Tashkent on January 6.

Representatives of the company noted that in the near future equipment for the production of natural juice will be delivered to Uzbekistan. Its cost is estimated at about US$100 million.

In order to develop long-term and effective cooperation, GMFR Global Group Co. LTD will organize a visit of 10 large entrepreneurs from China this month.  In this connection, representatives of the FIPA were requested information about promising investment projects.
