Russia will allot US$20 million in no-strings aid to Kyrgyzstan for payment of wages to employees of federally funded institutions, pensions and allowances to vulnerable families as well as for financing of Kyrgyzstan’s health sector, Fergana.ru says, citing Russian Embassy in Bishkek.
The Kyrgyz side has reportedly approved the draft agreement that will be signed in the near future.
The tranche will arrive in Kyrgyzstan until December 30, 2020, and Bishkek undertakes to provide a report to Russia on the use of the provided assistance until March 15, 2021.
Moscow, for its part, has the right, if necessary, to send a request to Kyrgyzstan in order to clarify certain provisions of the presented report within 30 days after receiving it.
