DUSHANBE, April 1, 2013, Asia-Plus – Six persons have been killed and at least four others have been injured in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) as UAZ-452 minivan has drifted from the road and rolled down into 150m deep precipice.
According to the Interior Ministry traffic police directorate, the accident took place in the Roshtqala district, GBAO on March 29.
“The driver failed to control the vehicle and it fell into the precipice,” said the source. “Six persons, including two children aged 7 and 11, were killed and at least four other persons, including two children aged 2 and 8, were injured in the accident.”
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
