DUSHANBE, April 13, 2013, Asia-Plus — An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale was reported in the Lake Sarez area, Gorno Badakhshan.
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 109 kilometers on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 10:28 pm local time.
The earthquake was reportedly centered 330 kilometers east of Dushanbe, 124 kilometers northeast of Khorog and 120 kilometers west of the administrative center of the Murgab district.
The tremor was not felt in Dushanbe and Khorog, the capital of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO).
