DUSHANBE, July 14, 2015, Asia-Plus — Tajik customs officers have seized more than 23 tons of expired Iran chicken skin at the border.
In a report released at a news conference in Dushanbe, the head of the Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan, Abdufattoh Ghoib, revealed on July 14 that an entrepreneur has attempted to deliver more than 23 tons of expired chicken skin into Tajikistan from Iran in the guise of glucose solution.
“They were going to use chicken skin, which is not used in Iran in food industry, for production sausages, shish kebabs and other food products,” Tajik chief customs officer noted.
