A 34-year-old resident of Dushanbe has been detained on suspicion of fraud. He took money from citizens, promising to “arrange” a visa to Latvia, according to the Interior Ministry’s official website.
A resident of Dushanbe has applied to the police-station-1 in Dushanbe’s Shohmansour district, noting that a 34-year-old resident of Dushanbe took 33,600 somonis from him in December last year, promising to arrange a visa to Latvia.
The suspect has reportedly taken 3,900 U.S. dollars from another resident promising to arrange the visa to Latvia, the Interior Ministry’s website says.
The fraudster has been detained and an investigation is under way.
