Russia extradites eight criminal suspects to Tajikistan

Russia has extradited eight criminal suspects to Tajikistan.  They are suspected of committing various crimes in Tajikistan, including murder, fraud, drug trafficking and desertion, according to the press center of the Prosecutor-General’s Office of the Russian Federation.

All of them have been wanted by Tajik law enforcement authorities, and after establishing their whereabouts in the territory of Russia, Tajik authorities have made requests for extradition of the criminal suspects.  

Among the extradited persons are Nasratsho Jonmirzoyev, who is accused of firing at the vehicle of police officers in Khorog in July 1996, as a result of which the chief of the Khorog criminal investigation department, an officer of this department, forensic expert as well as a local resident were killed, and Ikromjon Bozorov, who is accused of developing together with his accomplice a plan of smuggling narcotic drugs into Russia in September 2009.
