On Monday March 14, Mr. Ashrafjon Gulov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Turkey, met in Ankara with Mr. Adil Karaismailoglu, the Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey.
The Tajik Embassy in Ankara says the parties discussed issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of transportation cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey, especially in the framework of the Tajik-Turkish intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation.
It was reportedly noted that Tajikistan is interested in cooperation of Turkey with Central Asia’s nations in transport-related areas, in particular two railway routes: Kars –Tbilisi – Aktau – Daut-ata — Dushanbe (both railway and sea route) and Dogubayazit – Sarakhs – Alat – Tashkent – Dushanbe.
