The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to the United Kingdom Rukhshona Emomali presented her credentials to Queen Elizabeth II on March 15.

The head of state, in a blue and grey patterned silk day dress, received the ambassadors of Mongolia and Tajikistan via video-link at her Berkshire royal residence on Tuesday, according to Independent.
Recall, Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon on December 15 appointed his third daughter, Rukhshona Emomali, to be the country’s ambassador to the United Kingdom.
Prior to this appointment, Rukhshona Emomali had served as deputy head of the Foreign Ministry Directorate for International Organization following a period of activity at the Tajik Embassy in London.
Rukhshona Emomali is one of seven daughters of President Emomali Rahmon. Rukhshona Emomali is the wife of Shamsullo Sohibov, the owner of the Faroz Company, which was one of the most successful business conglomerates in Tajikistan. On September 17, 2019, Faroz announced it would shut down due to tough market conditions and dwindling profits. That September 17 announcement was followed by a statement that Faroz would sell its 108 businesses and properties across the country. Dozens of firms owned by the company removed Faroz signs and billboards from their headquarters.
Several other close relatives of Rahmon, who has nine children, occupy important official positions or control lucrative businesses in Tajikistan.
Thus his daughter Ozoda Rahmon heads the President’s Executive Office, while her husband Jamoliddin Nouraliyev is the first deputy head of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT).
Rahmon’s son Rustam Emomali is the Mayor of Dushanbe also the Speaker of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament).
