As part of his working visit to northern Tajikistan, President Emomali Rahmon today visited the city of Khujand, the capital of the Sughd province, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
While in Khujand, the head of state inaugurated a new shopping mall “Khujand Plaza”.
Construction of this shopping mall, which consists of two four-story buildings, was financed local entrepreneur Shavkat Ayubov.
The cost of the Khujand Plaza mall is eight million somoni, the Tajik president’s official website says.
President Rahmon met with 50 orphans in the Khujand-Plaza café and gave the presents, the Tajik president’s official website says.
While in Khujand, Emomali Rahmon also visited the Sirdaryo enterprise, which produces juices, jams and soft drinks.
This enterprise was launched eleven years ago by local entrepreneur Mansour Karimov.
