On Thursday August 20, President Emomali Rahmon arrived in the Vanj district, which the second leg of his working visit to the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO).
The head of state participated in an official opening ceremony of the Vanj City shopping mall in the administrative center of the Vanj district. This shopping mall was constructed by local entrepreneur Orzou Lashkarov.
Rahmon also inaugurated new buildings of the Vanj police department and the Vanj military registration and enlistment office.
During a meeting with regional administrators, Emomali Rahmon, in particular, noted that 680 million somoni had been spent for development of the Vanj district during the years of independence.
Currently, five investment projects in a total amount of 13 million somoni are being implemented in Vanj, the president noted.
During a meeting with regional administrators in the Darvoz district, Rahmon noted that more than 1 billion somoni had been spent for development of Darvoz over the past 29 years.
Yesterday, Emomali Rahmon also visited the Rushan district, where he inaugurated local office of Amonatbonk (Tajikistan’s savings bank) and a flag square in Vamar, the administrative center of the district.
While in Rushan, the head of state also participated in an opening ceremony of sports ground in the village of Barzun. This sports ground was built by local entrepreneur Safar Rezvonoov.
During a meeting with regional administrators in Vamar, the administrative center of the Rushan district, Rahmon noted that 510 million somoni had been spent for development of the Rushan district during the years of independence
