The parliament of Tajikistan gave the “go-ahead” to the government to receive two loans

The total amount of two loans that the government of Tajikistan will receive from international financial institutions will amount to $ 200 million.

The lower house of the parliament of Tajikistan today ratified the Agreement on the provision of a financial loan from the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development to support the state budget in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, signed on September 23 of this year between Tajikistan and the Eurasian Development Bank.

In his speech, the Minister of Finance of Tajikistan Fayziddin Kakhkhorzoda said that the received soft loan of $ 50 million will be used to cover the country's budget deficit and support the social sector.

The people's representatives also unanimously and without discussion ratified the Framework Agreement between the Government of Tajikistan and the International Islamic Corporation for Trade Finance.

As part of the implementation of this agreement, Tajikistan will receive a loan of $ 150 million over the next three years to develop trade.
