On Tuesday April 20, President Emomali Rahmon signed the laws on the National Academy of Sciences and judicial bodies as well as the laws on amendments made to the country’s laws on courts, gardening, narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors and the country’s Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
The laws on judicial bodies and the National Academy of Sciences are amended laws and regulate the organizational and legal framework and directions of their activities.
Amendments made to the law on courts as well as the Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes are aimed at improving the structures of the judicial bodies, improving their activities, protecting the rights and freedoms of parties to the proceedings, etc.
The Tajik president’s official website notes that the signed laws are aimed at comprehensive protection of human rights and freedoms, ensuring the security of the state and society, prevention of offenses, development of science and improvement of the life of the people.
