It gets started! Agriculture minister replaced

It appears President Emomali Rahmon has begun to introduce staff changes.

By president’s decree Sulaimon Ziyozoda, who previously served as Minister of Agriculture, has been appointed Deputy Prime Minister, replacing Davlatsho Gulmahmadzoda, who was appointed Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Russia in late August last year.

An official source within the Tajik president’s press service has confirmed this information.  He further noted that staff changes had been introduced to other government bodies as well.

According to him, president’s decrees on new appointments will be posted on the president’s official website today evening.

Meanwhile, a source at the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) says Sa’adi Karimzoda, formerly First Deputy Minister of Agriculture, has been appointed Minister of Agriculture, replacing Sulaimon Ziyozoda.

Sulaimon Ziyozoda, 60, had served as Minister of Agriculture since November 2020.  Before this, he served as chairman of Divashtich district in Sughd province no more than a year.  Prior to this, Ziyozoda had served as deputy governor of Sughd province.
