Dushanbe. 27 August. “Asia-Plus” – General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Pakistan Chief of Army Staff, will arrive to Dushanbe on Wednesday, 28 August for a three-day visit.
Tajik Ministry of Defense spokesperson Faridun Mahmadaliev, told Asia-Plus that the Pakistani General will meet with President Emamali Rahman and Defense Minister, Sherali Khayrullaev, during his visit.
Mr. Mahmadaliev said: “Development of military and technical cooperation, as well as preparation of military staff will be discussed during the Tajik-Pakistani negotiations.”
The Pakistani Chief of Army Staff will also visit the Tajik Military Institute and meet with the soldiers and officers of some military units.
