DUSHANBE, May 11, 2014, Asia-Plus – The Isfara-Vorukh road that was blocked by Kyrgyz nationals after clashes that took place along the Tajik-Kyrgyz border on May 7 was reopened for traffic on May 9, according to the Sughd regional administration.
“Explanatory work is carried out among residents of border areas in order to prevent such incidents in the future,” the source at the Sughd regional administration told Asia-Plus in an interview.
According to him, border representatives of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan met on May 8 to discuss issues related to settlement of a May 7 border incident.
