KHUJAND, June 12, 2014, Asia-plus — 38,465 bushes of wild Indian hemp have been destroyed in the Sughd northern province over the past two days, a source at the Interior Ministry’s office in Sughd told Asia-Plus on June 12.

(Poppy 2014), is going on in Tajikistan.
This year, the anti-drug operation was launched in early May and it will run through November.
This annual operation, involving representatives of law enforcement agencies, local authorities, ministries of agriculture and health, as well as the committee for TV and radio-broadcasting, is dedicated to detect and destroy drug crops across the country.
“Over the first ten days of the operation, 30,257 bushes of wild Indian hemp have been revealed and destroyed in the province,” the source said.
