DUSHANBE, September 22, 2014, Asia-Plus – On Saturday September 20, resident of the Temourmalik district (Khatlon province), Saymumin Qosimov, 38, was detained in the Hamadoni district (Khatlon) on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking, according to the Interior Ministry’s official website.
Several package of drug narcotic that tested positive to raw opium weighing 9.5 kilograms were confiscated from him.
On the same day, resident of the Mastchoh district (Sughd province), Akram Safarov, 36, was detained with 940 grams of heroin.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against both alleged drug peddlers and an investigation is under way.
