DUSHANBE, October 9, 2015, Asia-Plus – According to Russian media outlets, a top Russian diplomat said on October 8 that Russian is the working language in the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) camp in Afghanistan.

reports Zamir Kabulov, director of the Russian Foreign Ministry”s Second Department, said at a security conference in Moscow yesterday that ISIL is training Russia-born militants in Afghanistan, some of its instructors possessing US and UK passports.
“A number of ISIL training bases recruit militants in Central Asia and some Russian regions. Russian is the working language in this so-called camp,” Kabulov said.
He went on to say that the instructors include Arabs, Pakistanis, as well as UK and US nationals.
According to the Russian General Staff, the number of ISIL militants in Afghanistan has been growing and is now around two or three thousand. Over the past nine months, terrorists have reportedly killed more than 3,500 people, which is 25% more than during the same period a year ago.
