Tajikistan, Uzbekistan discuss cooperation in training military personnel

Chief of the Aviation Faculty at the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan, Colonel Vosif Salomatshozoda, heading Tajik military delegation has visited Tashkent this week to discuss cooperation, Lieutenant-Colonel Orif Nizomiyon, a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan, told Asia-Plus in an interview.  

“It was a return visit.  At the end of the last year, a delegation of Uzbekistan’s Military Academy visited Dushanbe to get acquainted with the process of training of military officers in Tajikistan,” Nizomiyon said.  

According to him, members of the Tajik military delegation got acquainted with opportunities created for training of cadets at Uzbekistan’s Higher Military Aviation School.   

In the curse of the talks, the parties reportedly also exchanged views on issues related to exchange of experience and the possibility of training of personal for the Tajik national army at Uzbekistan’s Higher Military Aviation School.
