Recruits to be tested for coronavirus twice

Recruits of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan, before entering the territory of military units, pass the COVID-19 test twice.

The first test is taken by recruits in the district hospitals from where they are called up, the second – in the regional and city draft commissions, said the head of the press center of the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan Faridun Mahmadalizoda.

«If they do not have a coronavirus infection, they will be allowed to enter the territory of military units, where they will have to carry out a two-year service», – said Mahmadalizoda.

According to him, the recruits will be placed in separate barracks, at first they will be allowed to serve with a minimum load.

«Officers who have worked for at least five years will work with them», – added Mahmadalizoda

According to him, not a single case of COVID-19 infection has yet been identified among the soldiers of the country's Armed Forces..

Autumn conscription into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan started on October 1.
