Tajikistan explains why it did not send troops to Kyrgyzstan for the CSTO exercises ” Border -2021″

The exercise started today.

Tajik officers and soldiers will not be able to take part in the joint exercises of the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Collective Security Treaty Organization " Border -2021", which are taking place in Kyrgyzstan.

A source of "Asia-Plus" in the country's defense department said that during the period of the exercise in Tajikistan, a lot of events are planned with the participation of the military, and for this reason, the Republic of Tajikistan will not take part in the "Border-2021".

According to him, during the period of the exercise in Kyrgyzstan, military parades will be held in all major cities of Tajikistan in honor of the 30th anniversary of the republic's independence.

"At the same time, it cannot be said that Tajikistan completely ignored the above-mentioned exercise; high-ranking officers of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of our country are watching its progress on the spot.", noted the source.

Recall that today in Kyrgyzstan, in the Issyk-Kul region at the "Edelweiss" training ground, joint exercises with the Collective Forces of Rapid Deployment of the Central Asian Collective Security Region of the CSTO " Border -2021" will take place, which will last until September 9.
