DUSHANBE, October 20, 2008, Asia-Plus — In January-September 2008, Tajikistan has produced a total of 4.286 billion somoni (TJS) worth of industrial, according to the State Committee for Statistics.
In September, 536 million somoni (equivalent to US$129 million) worth of industrial goods were produced in the country.
Over the fist nine months of this year, enterprises of the Ministry of Energy and Industries have produced 953 million somoni worth of output. In September, they produced 161 million somoni worth of output.
Enterprises of the cotton-processing sector have manufactured 2.073 billion somoni worth of goods in the same nine-month period. Of them, 1.875 billion somoni worth of goods were produced in September.
Enterprises that are not under authority of the country’s ministries and organizations have produced 2.038 billion of industrial goods in January-September 2008. In September, they produced 176 million somoni worth of industrial goods.
