KHUJAND, October 6, 2008, Asia-Plus — An annual fair of honey was held in Khujand, the capital of the Sughd province at the end of last week at initiative of the Sughd bee-keepers’ Association.
According to Solijon Murodov, the head of the Sughd bee-keepers’ Association, bee-keepers brought more than 20 tons of honey to the fair in Khujand and 10.3 tons were realized.
It was the sixth honey fair in Khujand. More than 44,700 colonies of bees are now in northern Tajikistan, Murodov said.
