DUSHANBE, September 29, 2008, Asia-Plus  — The Islamic Revival Party (IRPT) intends to organize the republican contest among the Tajik Koran reciters in Dushanbe on October 11. 

According to the IRPT head office in Dushanbe, the contest is part of the party’s events dedicated to Holy Koran.  “This year, the Koran reciting competitions have been held in many countries across the world,” said the source at IRPT’s head office, “Not only winners of the regional contests may participate in the upcoming competition.  The contest is open for all those interested to participate in it.”  

It is already the second year that the Koran reciting competition organized by the IRPT has been held in the country and the party intends to make it regular, the source said.
