DUSHANBE, September 25, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Today, Abubakr Azizkhojayev, top manager of the Dushanbe company Dournamo, will hand over prize money to Tajik prize winners of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Rasoul Boqiyev and Yusuf Abdusalomov, according to the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs.  

Yusuf Abdusalomov, who won the silver medal, finishing second in the Men’s Freestyle Wrestling 84 kilogram competition in Beijing, will receive US$5,000 in prize money, and Rasoul Boqiyev, one of the top judokas in Tajikistan in the -73 kg category, who won the bronze medal in Beijing, will receive US$3,000. 

After the ceremony, the athletes will give a press conference.  

We will recall that fifteen Tajik athletes participated in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.  Among them hummer throwers Dilshod Nazarov and Galina Mityayeva; judokas Rasoul Boqiyev, Sherali Bozorov and Nematullo Asronqulov; free-style wrestlers Yusuf Abdusalomov and Vitaly Koryakin; boxers Anvar Yunusov, Jahon Qurbonov and Sherali Dostiyev; swimmers Yekaterina Izmaylova and Alisher Chingizov; female archer Albina Kamolitdinova; weightlifter Nizom Sangov, and Sergey Bibikov (sports shooting).
