Internationally wanted Tajik national detained in Russia

DUSHANBE, October 18, 2013, Asia-Plus — Officers from the office of the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) for Russia in the Sverdlovsk oblast and the Russian Interior Ministry’s police station # 29 in the Beloyarskiy settlement have detained Tajik national, who is internationally wanted for robbery, the Russian Interior Ministry’s website reports.

According to the website, the culprit jointly with three accomplices robbed an Indian citizen in Tajikistan in January 2012.  He reportedly left Tajikistan for Russia after criminal proceedings were instituted.  He had lived in Russia illegally for more than a year.  In 2013, he was reportedly registered and employed in the Beloyarskiy settlement.

The culprit is under custody and the sides are currently coordinating the date and mechanism of the upcoming extradition.
