DUSHANBE, October 31, 2013, Asia-Plus — By Dushanbe mayor’s decree festivities will be organized in the Tajik capital on November 6 on the occasion of Constitution Day.
According to Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office, the main festivities will be held at 800th Anniversary of Moscow Square, in Ustod Roudaki Park, in Peoples’ Friendship Park an at Kuli Javonon Lake.
The Constitution of Tajikistan adopted on 6 November 1994 and amended by referendum on September 26, 1999 and June 22, 2003 is the supreme law of the Republic of Tajikistan (Article 10). Amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan in 1999 established a new bicameral parliament (Article 48) and extended the President”s term of office from five to seven years (Article 65).
The Constitution declares ideological and political pluralism, ensuring human rights and social-legal guarantees.
