DUSHANBE, November 20, 2013, Asia-Plus – President Emomali Rahmon today issued a decree on improvement of the structure of the government executive bodies.

Under this decree, the Ministry of Energy and Industry is reorganized into the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources, the Ministry of Education is reorganized into the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection is reorganized into the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Population Employment, and the Ministry of Health is reorganized into the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.

Besides, the Public Service Directorate under the President of Tajikistan was reorganized into the Public Service Agency under the President of Tajikistan, the State Committee on Land Utilization and Geodesy into the State Committee on Land Management and Geodesy, the Committee on Religious Affairs under the Government of Tajikistan into the Committee on Religious Affairs and Regulation of National Traditions and Rituals under the Government of Tajikistan.

The Agency on Architecture and Construction under the Government of Tajikistan is reorganized in to the Committee on Architecture and Construction under the Government of Tajikistan, the Main Directorate on State Supervision of Industrial and Mine Safety under the Government of Tajikistan into the Service on State Supervision of Industrial and Mine Safety under the Government of Tajikistan.

The State Agency on Social Insurance and Pensions under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection is reorganized into the State Agency on Social Insurance and Pensions under the Government of Tajikistan.

The decree also provides for the establishment of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, the Forestry Agency under the Government of Tajikistan, and the Agency on Land Reclamation and Irrigation under the Government of Tajikistan.
