DUSHANBE, August 30, 2008, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon speaks for using political-diplomatic methods to solve disputable issues.

“Our countries are strategic partners and allies, and therefore, character of these relations provides for coordination of and support for actions of each other on regional and international issues both in domestic affairs and on international arena,” President Rahmon remarked at a joint press conference he and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev gave in Dushanbe on August 29.  “There is no doubt that this also concerns a complex of measures Russia takes in Caucasus.”

“I consider it necessary to state that political-diplomatic methods to settle disputable issues are preferable,” Rahmon stressed.
