Mayor’s office provides humanitarian aid to disabled people

DUSHANBE, December 27, Asia-Plus – Dushanbe mayor’s office has provided financial assistance to 262 families being in charge of two and more persons with disabilities on occasion of the upcoming holidays of the New Year and Idi Qurbon.

A meeting on this subject presided over by Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev was held on December 27. 

These 262 families received 100 somonis each.  26,200 somonis have been provided from the mayor’s reserve fund for these purposes.  

The mayor congratulated those present on the upcoming holidays and answered to their questions.  On the housing and pension payments, the mayor ordered heads of the relevant services to seek solution to these problems.  

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that by mayor’s resolution financial assistance will also be provided to veterans of war, centers for the elderly people and orphanages.  According to the spokesman, the assistance is provided by charities, sponsors, etc.
