DUSHANBE, August 12, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Deputies of minister of agriculture heading working groups on August 11 left for the regions a weeklong visits to evaluate the present situation in the agrarian sector and prepare recommendations on raising the level of crop yields, according to press service of the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA).  

Four groups, numbering eight or nine members each, will consider issues related to development of the cotton sector, preparations for a cotton-harvesting campaign, providing farming units with mineral fertilizers, holding farm produce fairs, etc.  

On completion of the visits, the groups should prepare reports on the actual situation in the agrarian sector and recommendations on improving it and submit them for consideration to the ministry.
