DUSHANBE, April 14, 2014, Asia-Plus – The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament discussed a draft law on textbooks at an April 14 meeting, presided over by its head, Shukurjon Zuhurov.
Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, says the board also discussed draft amendments proposed to the country’s laws on the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), state duty, operational and search activities, permitting system, the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption, security, and advertisement.
The board also discussed draft amendments proposed to the country’s criminal and administrative codes.
Besides, the board members discussed the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the
Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women and the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks.
The meeting also discussed the issue of setting up a working group for finalization of the draft laws on protection of child’s rights and state support for orphaned children and children left without parental care, Sultonov sad.
