Jumhouriyat

, the official government newspaper, accuses the IRPT and the West of preparing an Islamic revolution in Tajikistan.

The article was published on 19 August and authored by Samariddin Qiam. Arguing about revolutions, he recalls that the West, led by the United States, always “hangs around” the former CIS states and the Middle East countries.

According to the author, Islamic states will never be unite, while America uses it in its own interests. Further, the author, pointing at IRPT, writes that the Islamic Party was created under the initiative of Muslim Brotherhood.

Samariddin Qiam, while pointing at Muhiddin Kabiri’s “policy of tolerance”, notes: “The policy led by Kabiri in the past 5 years, is more like the “Step by step” method, used by Muslim Brotherhood. Based on this method, Islamists are first supposed to create the circumstances for a revolution, and then “implement it”.

The author says that 1960-1970, Hamas, an extremist group in Palestine, worked based on the same method: “It seems that the IRPT is using the same method, but this party does not have as much patience as Hamas did.”

The author, pointing to the society’s indifference, says that perhaps they would like to see Tajikistan as one of the troubled countries in the world, such as Syria, Iraq, Libya, Ukraine, and Afghanistan: “And where are all the NGOs today that shouted about human rights, equality of women and men, children’s right to peace, as well as state education and protection? Is this all not a pretext for implementing the powers’ plans?”

Samariddin Qiam is certain that all these revolutions are being done not for the good of the people, but only to receive political power, and the IRPT works for these goals: “But what will be the alternatives that the IRPT will bring us? It is clear that the Party cannot given anything besides an Islamic state, a patriarchal society, and women behind closed doors. Once the IRPT comes to power, all others, who worship a different religion, will lose the right to life and politics in Tajikistan.”
