The criminal case of the arrested lawyer, Shuhrat Qudratov, on suspicion of bribing, includes a new article – “fraud.”
As reported to Mr. Qudratov’s lawyer, Rahmatilla Zayirov, to Asia-Plus, Senior Investigator of the Anti-Corruption and Financial Control Agency, Rahmanov, decided to start a criminal case based on Article 247, part 4, point b (Fraud) against Shuhrat Qudratov as well as Rahmatilla Zayirov himself.
According to Mr. Zayirov, the criminal case is based on a petition by Tourabek Akhanov, younger brother of Jourabek Akhanov, who is the head of Mavaraunnahr. Shuhrat Qudratov was Jourabek Akhanov’s lawyer for two years.
A confrontation between Shuhrat Qudratov and Tourabek Akhanov was held in the presence of Rahmatilla Zayirov. According to Mr. Zayirov, currently officials are preparing a protocol, which should be signed by Shuhrat Qudratov, after reading.
