DUSHANBE, July 14, 2008, Asia-Plus  — The Ministry of Education (MoE) has denied rumors that this year’s school year will allegedly start on July 1 as “unfounded.”

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Ms. Gulnora Boboyeva, an official with a MoE, said that no official orders on bringing forward the beginning of this year’s school year had been made so far.   

“If such order had been made, all education directorates and departments would have been informed in advance,” the MoE official said, noting that this school year, lessons will start as usual on September 1.
