DUSHANBE, July 12, 2008, Asia-Plus  – Education program for secondary schools will be renewed and developed in accordance with new textbooks, Education Minister Abdujabbor Rahmonov told reporters in Dushanbe on July 10.  

He noted that the program of the study of the Russian language, for example, will increase by two hours.  

The minister stated that schools will be provided with textbooks completely by the new school years of 2008-2009.    

According to the Ministry of Education (MoE), 67,000 11th grade textbooks on the Russian language, 70,000 10th and 11th grades textbooks on basic military training, 20,000 9th grade English textbooks, 48,000 3rd grade text books on the Russian language, 70,000 3rd and 4th grades textbooks on patriotic education, and 27,300 7th grade textbooks on information technology have published over the first six months of this year and distributed to schools across the country.
