DUSHANBE, July 10, 2008, Asia-Plus  — On Wednesday July 9, outgoing German Ambassador to Tajikistan Rainer Muller met with leader of the Islamic Revival Party of Tajikistan (IRPT) Muhiddin Kabiri within the framework of his farewell meetings at the end of his tenure to Tajikistan, Asia-Plus has learned from Hikmatullo Sayfullozoda, a spokesman for the IRPT.  

According to him, the two exchanged views on the situation in Tajikistan.  “Concerning the latest developments in the country, they agreed that Tajikistan is the country, which has its own features, and the people feels responsibility more than authorities,” Sayfullozoda said.    

On the IRPT itself, the German diplomat welcomed the position the party holds on events and tendencies in Tajikistan, the spokesman said.
