DUSHANBE, November 18, 2014, Asia-Plus — As of October 1, 2014, Tajikistan’s external debt amounted to 2.1224 billion U.S. dollars (USD), according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

The government guaranteed debt reportedly amounted to 19.34 million USD and the non-guaranteed debts of state-run enterprises reached 31.5 million USD.

The debt attracted by the National Bank of Tajikistan amounts to 17.43 million USD.

The Agency for Statistics notes that Tajikistan’s debt to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for ensuring the payment balance amounts to 152.42 USD. 

 As of January 1, 2014, Tajikistan’s external debt reportedly amounted to 2.1615 billion U.S. dollars and the last year’s Tajikistan external debt-to-GDP ratio was 25.4 percent
