DUSHANBE, December 4, 2014, Asia-Plus  — Abdumannon Dodoyev, the head of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda (CCER)’s office, says that due to amendments made to the country’s election legislation national TV channels will be more accessible for candidates who will run in the 2015 parliamentary election.

“40 minutes of free airtime will be allocated to political parties (10 minutes more than during the 2010 parliamentary election) and 20 minutes of free airtime will be given to each candidate who will run in single mandate constituencies (5 minutes more than during the 2010 parliamentary election) for presentation of their electoral platforms,” Dodoyev said.

Besides, political parties will have the right to publish their election programs in the government-run print media in the volume of eight printed pages (font size 14 pt) free of charge, the CCER official noted.
