DUSHANBE, December 25, 2014, Asia-Plus — The 22nd session of the Dushanbe legislature (Majlis), presided over by Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev, was held on December 25.
Speaking at the session, the mayor noted that 29 new industrial enterprises had been introduced into operation in the city over the first ten months of this year.
Over the reporting period, these enterprises have produced a total of 44.4 million somoni worth of industrial goods and created 460 new jobs, the mayor said.
Over the first ten months of this year, 260 industrial enterprises operating in Dushanbe have reportedly produced 993.2 million somoni worth of industrial goods, which is 197.6 million somoni more than in the same period last year. More than 800 new jobs have been created in the city over the same ten-month period.
Over the reporting period, 2.390 billion somoni have been invested in the construction sector, which is 45.6 percent more than in the same period of 2013, the mayor noted.
To-date, 9,121 legal entities and 28,820 private entrepreneurs have been registered in Dushanbe. Over the first eleven months of this year, the number of legal entities in Dushanbe has reportedly increased by 1,943.
