DUSHANBE, January 13, 2015, Asia-Plus — In Tajikistan, the year-end inflation for 2014 stood at 7.4 percent, according to the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT).

In December, inflation reportedly stood at only 0.5 percent, which was 0.2 percent lower than in November.

We will recall that the Trading Economics website reports that in 2013 Tajikistan had the lowest inflation rate among Central Asia’s countries.

In Central Asia, the highest average inflation rate in 2013 was recorded in Uzbekistan – 7.0 percent.  In Turkmenistan, inflation last year stood at 6.0 percent, Kazakhstan – 4.5 percent, and Kyrgyzstan – 4.0 percent.  In Tajikistan, the year-end inflation stood at 3.7 percent in 2013.
