DUSHANBE, June 14, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan is the only country in Central Asia, where fall in exchange rate of US dollars has been reported since the beginning of this year,

(Belarus News) said, referring to survey conducted the Belarus information company, BelaPAN.
In Tajikistan, the USD exchange rate has dropped fallen 0.98% in five months to May 31, falling from 3.4649 somonis on December 31, 2007 to 3.341 somonis, according the survey.
In other Central Asia’s states, an official exchange rate of USD has increased: in Kazakhstan – by 0.22% (from 120.3 tenge to 120.57 tenge); in Uzbekistan – by 1.36% (from 1,290 sum to 1,307.5 sum); in Kyrgyzstan – by 2.23% (from 35.4988 som to 36.2891 som); and in Turkmenistan – 2.74 times (from 5,200 manat to 14,250 manat).
