DUSHANBE, June 10, Asia-Plus  — A two-day seminar on defamation, and insult in media will open in Dushanbe on June 11, according to the monitoring service of the national Association of Independent Media of Tajikistan (Nansmit). 

The source at Nansmit said that the seminar, aiming to raising effectiveness of work of media and press services of the ministries and organizations, will be conducted by skilled specialists in law from Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.

According to him, the seminar participants are supposed to discuss the following subjects: honor, dignity and reputation of physical and legal entities; Tajikistan’s legislation on protection of honor, dignity and reputation; rules of journalists’ meeting people, moral harm, protection of honor, dignity and reputation; pretrial regulations; and defamation and insult.
