DUSHANBE, May 23, Asia-Plus  — Female drug peddler was detained at the Dushanbe airport yesterday during customs inspection of passengers on the flight Dushanbe-Moscow, press service of the Tajik Customs Service said.  

The 30-year-old Surayo Safarova from Khatlon’s Hamadoni district tried to internally smuggle narcotics into Moscow.   

Safarova had ingested 43 wraps containing totaling more than 300 grams of heroin, the press service said.  The Tajik transportation prosecutor’s office has instituted criminal proceedings against her and an investigation is under way.
