The first 165 pilgrims from Khujand are ready to go for hajj

Dushanbe. 27 August. “Asia Plus” — 165 pilgrims from Khujand on the 1st of September will depart from the Khujand international airport to Medina for hajj.

As reported the press center of Khujand City Hall, on the eve of the pilgrims’ departure the Head of Khujand city Rajabboi Ahmadzoda had a meeting with them. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Chairman of the city, the chairman of the Ulema Council of Sughd region Hoji Husayn Musozoda and representatives of the Religious Affairs Department.

During the meeting, the Mayor, mentioning country”s achievements and the wise policy of the head of state, appealed to the pilgrims with the request to respect the rules of ethics, decency and deference during the hajj. He admonished them to remember and be proud of that they are Tajiks and the Tajiks are know in the world, first of all, due to their high culture and education, he said.

Also, the Mayor of Khujand urged the pilgrims after the returning from the hajj to contribute to the education of youth in the spirit of patriotism and devotion to the homeland.

Then the Chairman of the Ulema Council area Hoji Husayn Musozoda explained to the pilgrims all the pillars and basic rules of hajj and asked them to follow the instructions of the four guides that will accompany them during the hajj, as they have perfect religious knowledge and versed in all the rules of hajj and the history of Islam religion.

At the meeting one of the conductors and the pilgrims’ representative made a statement, in which they expressed their deep appreciation to the President Emomali Rahmon, the Chairman of Sogd region Abdurahmon Kodir and then Head of Khujand city Rajabboi Ahmadzoda for the opportunity to make this one of the main pillars of Islam.
